About Computers, Software Development & Information Technology
There are currently two LPI Certification levels for Linux. The first level, LPIC-1, is granted after passing both exams LPI 101 and LPI 102. Similarly passing the LPI 201 and LPI 202 exams will grant the second level certification LPIC-2.
Each of the following free training and tutorial Linux LPI manuals are designed for a 3 to 4 day training course to prepare for the LPI certification exam. It is recommended that candidates have at least one year experience doing Linux administration professionally. However, for those who are ready for a challenge the training course is designed to provide as much insight, tutorials, and examples as possible to help non-specialists understand the basic concepts and command sets which form the core of Linux computing.
following free training manuals are available in the OpenOffice SXW
format. These Linux LPI training books are distributed by the Free
GNU/Linux Administration Manuals project.
