Java 3D Gaming Code
Here is all of the Java code from two Java Game Programming Books, by Dr. Andrew Davison (note: the books are not free, only the code).
Code for: Pro Java 6 3D Game Development
Code for: Killer Game Programming in Java
This book shows Java programmers, who already know the basics of Java, how to code reusable modules and components which can be put together to create many types of amusing games. It focuses on 3D gaming using Java 3D, which is an excellent tool for quickly building 3D worlds without requiring low-level 3D rendering functionality. You can download all of this book's Java code as a single zip file, or by chapter.
This Java game programming book teaches how to program 3D games in Java, with a focus on building 3D landscapes. It is divided into the following three areas: 1) Java 3D, 2) Non-standard input devices for game playing, and 3) JOGL. Java 3D is a high-level 3D graphics API, and JOGL is a lower-level Java wrapper for the OpenGL graphics API. It uses three non-standard input devices: the webcam, the game pad, and the P5 data glove. Other games-related libraries are also used, including JInput, JOAL, JMF, and Odejava. It concentrates on the latest 3D APIs, covering a range of libraries. You can download all of the Java code used in this book as a single zip file, or by chapter. (Note that the Java code in this book is different from the code in the author's first Java gaming book, Killer Game Programming in Java, linked above.)

8) Question of the Month about Technical Training:Each month Scott Turton will answer a current or important question that we have received about computer and IT training and career development.
October 2008 Question of the Month:What is Google's strategy with its new Chrome browser? Does it really want to take on Internet Explorer and Firefox?
The Google Chrome browser brings the internet user a minimal design combined with sophisticated technology, which hopefully makes browsing the web quicker and easier while providing needed security. It allows you to search from the address bar, access your favorite pages in any new tab, and setup desktop shortcuts to launch web applications. Chrome is open source and free to download. The browser was first publicly released for Microsoft Windows (XP and later only) on 2 September 2008 in 43 languages. It has gained about 1% of the browser market. Mac OS X and Linux versions will be released at a later date. Google Gears is included with Chrome, which adds features for web developers for building web applications (including offline support). When a new tab is displayed it displays thumbnails of the nine most visited web sites along with the sites most often searched, recent bookmarks, and recently closed tabs.
Answer:
Chrome gives Goolge a real foothold on the desktop and much more control over how web applications are run. It may seem that Chrome is aimed at Internet Explorer and Firefox, but many experts see the real target as Windows. In the future millions of web devices, including desktop web devices, will use this browser as the only operating system, completely removing the need for Windows. This is the direction the industry is heading, and Chrome, along with Gears, makes it much easier for hardware manufacturers to accomplish this.
This article from knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu, Will Its 'Chrome' Web Browser Put a Shine on Google's Long-term Strategy?, will give you an in-depth understanding of Google's strategy with its new browser. In it, Wharton professors David Hsu and Kevin Werbach discuss a Google's longer-term strategy. They point out that Google is looking for Chrome to influence the development of web technology in a way that will increase the number of users of its various web applications, thus making Google overall more attractive to advertisers. Also, here are many good artcles from Computerworld: Continuing coverage: Google's Chrome browser
I hope this helps you.
